This week our raspberry bushes have started producing ripe berries. Probably by the end of the week they will be in the peak of their season….and we have family coming to visit then. So we are trying to pick berries every morning and freeze them right away, that way we’ll at least have gotten some stored away to enjoy in the winter!
The other evening for a side dish for supper, we made a fruit salad and added a handful of raspberries 🙂 My, was it good!
After we have picked the berries, we bring them in, rinsed them in cold water, and then we spin the water out of the raspberries using our lettuce spinner. We have picked and frozen four pints, and on every container we have used this fun tape for labels!
